Mississauga is opening its day camps to resident and non-resident kids this summer.

The City recently announced that it’s planning to offer a variety of summer day camp programs, including Summer Fun Camp (4.5 to 12 years old), Outdoor Explorers Camp (8 to 10 years old) and Outdoor Leadership Camp (10 to 12 years old).

The City is opening up registration for these summer camps on Tuesday, May 25 at 6 a.m. to Mississauga residents and June 1 to non-residents.

Registration for the camps is required and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Residents can register directly at ActiveMississauga.ca and if programs are full, the waitlist option can be selected.

According to the City, children will participate in recreation activities focused on outdoor play, organized games, sports, arts, crafts, theme days and more.

Health and safety protocols, including daily screening, will be implemented.

All camps are expected to start on Monday, July 5 and will run for 9 weeks until Friday, Sept. 3, 2021.

Camps will be held at 10 community centre locations within the City as well as Port Credit Arena.
