Mississauga motorcyclist dies in crash on Highway 427 in Toronto; lanes closed

A motorcyclist from Mississauga has died after an early morning crash on Highway 427 in Toronto.
Emergency crews rushed to the crash near Rathburn Road at 2:40 a.m. on Thursday, OPP said in a post on X.
A passerby notified emergency services, police said.
No other vehicles were involved.
A 28-year-old man from Mississauga was transported to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
OPP said the Highway 427 northbound ramp to Rathburn Road would be closed until around 7:30 a.m. In an update, police said the highway had reopened by 8:30 a.m.
The fatal crash is one of several in Ontario recently. An Oshawa motorcyclist died following a crash in Clarington on Tuesday. And a motorcyclist was pronounced dead in a five-vehicle crash on Highway 401 in Mississauga on July 28.
