Mayor Bonnie Crombie has recently joined Premier Doug Ford and former mayor Hazel McCallion, among other politicians, in getting her first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Crombie said on Sunday morning (April 11) that she got the vaccine alongside her 85 year old mother, Veronica.

“Thank you Trillium Health Partners for making the process so easy,” Crombie said.

“I encourage everyone who is eligible to book their appointment ASAP.”

Ford received his vaccine on Friday, April 9.

Ontario has surpassed three million vaccine doses adminstered across the province, according to Health Minister Christine Elliott.

The province recently announced that the criteria for who can get vaccinated will be expanded for certain “hot spot” regions in Ontario, including Toronto, Peel Region, and York Region, although these hot spot vaccines aren’t ready to roll out just yet.

Peel residents can learn more and book an appointment here.
