Mississauga wants public input on how transportation infrastructure should be created in the downtown core.

A virtual meeting will be held tonight (June 9) to discuss what has already been proposed and to receive feedback on the plan.

According to the City, the Downtown Movement Plan (DMP) and input received will help identify needs and policies needed to meet future growth in the area.

Already, during the early stages of the study, the City consulted with residents about downtown transportation needs and developed some planning options including those that use public transit, cycling and walking.

Future meetings, including tonight’s will look at how the City can achieve the transportation goals.

The virtual meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. and advance registration is recommended.
