The Mississauga Library is hosting a book challenge to encourage residents to read more.
The Book Buzz Reading Challenge, hosted by the Mississauga Library, encourages residents to read 12 books in 12 categories this year for a chance to win a grand prize.
To enter the contest, residents are encouraged to challenge themselves to read widely by trying new books, authors and genres.
Once they do that, they must keep track of the books they read in specific categories before submitting a complete reading list prior to Sunday, Dec. 31, 2023, to enter the draw for a grand prize.
“Attention readers! We’ve got a challenge for you: Read 12 books in 12 categories for your chance to win a grand prize,” wrote the Mississauga Library on Twitter.

In order to inspire readers to read more and take part in the challenge, the Mississauga Library has been taking to Twitter to promote their “Book Buzz Picks.”
“Mississauga has 18 library locations across the city with shelves full of your next dive into mysterious, heartbreaking, inspiring, terrifying, curious and creative stories,” reads the City of Mississauga’s website.
“The library holds fiction and nonfiction, graphic novels, newspapers, magazines and the latest how-to books covering as many subjects as your heart desires.”
