A Mississauga Indian restaurant known for its tasty dishes and classic decor has permanently closed.
Ambiance of India at 2157 Royal Windsor Dr. in Clarkson had been in the location for several years but it appears to have closed recently.
The Ambiance of India sign is gone and a notice in the window indicates a pharmacy and walk-in clinic is opening there soon.
The place had a classic interior with a wood-panelled bar, elegant seating area and Indian decor. They served a variety of north Indian dishes such as tandoor cooked in a clay oven, Palak paneer, Daal makhani and butter chicken.
Reviews were mostly favourable for the restaurant with people praising its “nice decor” and “excellent service by the staff.”
They also had a lunch buffet.
Although there was mention on social media of the restaurant opening in another location, attempts to contact the owner were not immediately returned. Google has marked the restaurant as permanently closed.
