Mississauga hit-run victim has ‘serious injuries’; drivers asked to avoid area

A driver in Mississauga fled after hitting a woman pedestrian, who suffered serious injuries. The collision early Wednesday night has led to an advisory for motorists to take alternative routes.
The Peel police say the woman was hit in the The Credit Woodlands / Forestwood Dr. area of the city. Eastbound Forestwood is closed at the Credit Woodlands. No description of the driver’s vehicle was made available.
The police, who responded to the call at 6:09 p.m., added that the injured woman was taken to a “local hospital.”
