One person was trapped after their pick up truck slammed into a cube truck Wednesday night in Mississauga.
The collision happened around 11:45 p.m. in the westbound express lanes of Hwy. 401, west of Hurontario Street, Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services Acting Platoon Chief Mark Train tells inSauga.
All westbound express lanes were closed between Hurontario Street and Mavis Road following the crash.
The pick up truck’s cab was stuck under the truck and one person was trapped, Train says. This made for a lengthy and complicated extrication.
It took almost an hour for crews to get the person out of the truck. The patient was transported to hospital in critical condition.
