Mississauga driver clocked at 195 km/hr in an 80 km/hr zone

A Mississauga resident faces stunt driving charges after a vehicle was clocked travelling more than double the speed limit.

The vehicle was caught travelling over 195 km/hr in an 80 km/hr zone on Highway 6 in the Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula around 3:20 p.m. on June 3, OPP said in a press release.

A 37-year-old resident of Mississauga was charged with stunt driving and dangerous operation of a vehicle.

The driver got a 30-day driving suspension and 14-day vehicle impoundment.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on July 13 to answer to the charges.
