Finding a place to live in Mississauga and Brampton is quite an expensive undertaking, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t some relatively affordable housing options out there.

A list of the five most affordable homes sold in the GTA in December 2022 according to real estate company Zoocasa includes a Mississauga condo and a Brampton condo, which appear on the list at Nos. 4 and 5, respectively.

The one-bedroom, one-bathroom Mississauga condo, at 154-85 Bristol Rd. E., sold for $435,000 on Dec. 12. It was listed at $429,00

That unit sold for $165,000 in 2014, according to Zoocasa data.

“This stylish, bright condo has had many recent renovations, including major work done in the kitchen, new doors and laminate flooring, work in the bathroom and fresh paint throughout the condo,” a Zoocasa description reads.

The Brampton condo, also a one-bedroom, one-bathroom option, is located at 111-8351 McLaughlin Rd. It sold on Dec. 18 for $450,000 after being listed at $459,000.

It previously sold in 2010 for $150,000.

“This beautiful unit, located in Camelot on the Park, is a must-see. The oversized windows give the apartment a lot of natural light to overlook the park, while the cozy living room and dining room combo showcases the beautiful hardwood flooring,” the Zoocasa profile reads.

Topping the Zoocasa list is a condo located at 1900 Simcoe St. N. in Oshawa that sold on Dec. 12 for $265,000.

Two Toronto condo apartments placed second and third on the list.
