Missing Mississauga man in ‘state of crisis,’ possibly armed: Peel Police

A Mississauga man reported missing over the weekend is believed to be in possession of firearms and in a “state of crisis,” Peel Regional Police said in a press release issued Monday (Oct. 4).
Ruben Mukja, 33, was reported missing Sunday morning at 9:40 a.m., police said, from the area of Westminster Place and Rathburn Road East in Mississauga.
According to police, Mukja was last seen on Saturday night (Oct. 2) at 10:30 p.m.
As the investigation has unfolded, police said they learned that Mukja is believed to be in a state of crisis and may be in possession of several firearms.
Mukja is described as male, 5’9”, with a medium build and short brown hair and was last seen wearing an olive green windbreaker jacket, white running shoes and a black backpack.
Police are asking anyone that sees, locates or knows the whereabouts of Mukja to avoid approaching him and immediately call 9-1-1.
