Peel Regional Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man who went missing near Mississauga Hospital on Monday morning.
Investigators say the missing 42-year-old man, whose first name is Fayed, was last seen at about 10 a.m. on Nov. 20 in the area of The Queensway West and Hurontario Street.
Police say they and the man’s family are concerned for his well-being.
Fayed is further described as standing 5-foot-10, weighing 180 pounds, with thinning dark hair. He was last known to be wearing a dark blue jacket with white and red stripes, blue hospital pants and yellow socks.
Anyone with information is urged to call police at 905-453-3311.
Under a new policy adopted earlier this year regarding missing persons and what information will be released via social media or to the media, Peel police now only release the given names of missing people when the news release is accompanied by a photo.
Surnames will only be provided if “there is an investigative value to do so,” police say.
Toronto Police and other police forces adopted a similar policy this year.
