Real estate agent from Milton arrested in connection to an alleged sexual assault in Mississauga

A 33-year-old man from Milton has been arrested in relation to an alleged sexual assault that took place in Mississauga earlier this month.

According to Peel Regional Police, in August (2023) the victim and the accused convened for a real estate meeting near Hurontario St. and Eglinton Ave. W.

It is alleged that during this meeting, the accused sexually assaulted the victim.

On Saturday (Aug. 19) investigators from the Special Victims Unit arrested Rony Lazar and charged him with sexual assault.

Lazar is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton in September.

Investigations are ongoing as police suspect there could be additional victims and say Lazar is currently employed as a real estate agent where he offers career and investment advisory services to aspiring realtors in the Mississauga region.
