Men from Mississauga, Oshawa among four arrested in Toronto weapons bust

An Oshawa man is facing several weapons charges after a Toronto Police firearms investigation, alongside three other suspects.

On Friday January 14 Toronto Police executed a search warrant in the course of a firearms investigation near Bathurst Street and Housey Street. They seized two pistols, one of which had an extended magazine, and an electric stun baton.

Eric Poku, 22, of Oshawa, is charged with;

  • Six counts of possess weapon while prohibited
  • Possess weapon – dangerous to public peace
  • Two counts of possess prohibited/restricted weapon or prohibited device knowing no authority
  • Use/handle/store firearm carelessly
  • Possess firearm other than restricted or prohibited firearm without holding a licence
  • Possess loaded regulated firearm

Michael Poku, 33, of Mississauga, is charged with:

  • Fail to comply with release order
  • Four counts of possess firearm, etc. while prohibited
  • Possess weapon – dangerous to public peace
  • Two counts of possess prohibited/restricted weapon or prohibited device knowing no authority
  • Use/handle/store firearm carelessly
  • Possess firearm other than restricted or prohibited firearm without holding a licence
  • Possess loaded regulated firearm

Joshua Jeremiah, 26, of Toronto, is charged with:

  • Three counts of possess firearm while prohibited
  • Possess weapon – dangerous to public peace
  • Two counts of possess prohibited/restricted weapon or prohibited device knowing no authority
  • Use/handle/store firearm carelessly
  • Possess firearm other than restricted or prohibited firearm without holding a licence
  • Possess loaded regulated firearm

Anthony Dass, 22, of Toronto, is charged with:

  • Three counts of possess firearm while prohibited
  • Breach of Probation
  • Possess weapon – dangerous to public peac
  • Two counts of possess prohibited/restricted weapon or prohibited device knowing no authority
  • Possess prohibited ammunition knowing no authority
  • Use/handle/store firearm carelessly
  • Possess firearm other than restricted or prohibited firearm without holding a licence
  • Possess loaded regulated firearm
