McDonald’s has a ‘big’ announcement for Canadians.
The popular fast-food chain has announced the Grand Big Mac is coming to Canada.
According to the company, the Grand Big Mac is just more of the usual Big Mac—there are no new additions or subtractions.
Additionally, to make the announcement, McDonald’s is using autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR), dubbed “Grand Big Mac Sounds” experience—it will be available via YouTube and features the sounds that go into making the sandwich, such as the sizzle of the patty, the squeeze of the Big Mac sauce, the rustle of lettuce, among others.
The new take on the classic sandwich will be available at participating restaurants for a limited time.
“McDonald’s puts quality and taste at the forefront of everything we do, and we are continually innovating our food offering for our guests,” Rebecca Smart, director of National Marketing for McDonald’s Canada, said in a news release.
“We know that Canadians love the classic combination of ingredients and signature taste of the Big Mac. The Grand Big Mac gives guests even more of what they love, with two larger 100% Canadian beef patties, more special sauce and more of the same Big Mac toppings fans love,” she continued.
