Mayor’s New Year’s Levee to be held in Brampton

A Mayor’s New Year’s Levee is set to take place at Brampton City Hall this weekend.
The event, which will take place on Jan. 29 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., will offer attendees the opportunity to have a meet and greet with Mayor Patrick Brown and Members of Council inside the atrium of City Hall.
These meet and greets are meant to be a chance to exchange best wishes and greetings for the year ahead.
This celebratory reception is a long-standing tradition where residents will be able to enjoy light refreshments from local downtown businesses OccaSSions Treat Parlour and Segovia Coffee Co., hear from the Town Crier, have photos taken with the mayor and enjoy performances by the Tri-service Cadet Band of Brampton and Brampton Concert Band.
Following the meet and greets, a community skate will take place in Gage Park from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The community skate with Mayor Brown, Canada’s National Hockey Team players Renata Fast and Jamie Lee Rattray and former Toronto Maple Leaf Brad May will feature light refreshments from local business Concord in the City as well as a performance by Brampton band Point of Order.
