Massive street party Party in the Lanes and Taste of Brampton brings food and live music this weekend to Brampton

Brampton’s popular street party, Party in the Lanes, is back this weekend for more summer fun, live music, lots of dancing, and tasty eats.

The free festival happens from 5 to 10 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 16 in multiple locations across Brampton’s bustling downtown core, offering a bunch of fun activities for all ages in a walkable, pedestrian-friendly community.

The party continues the following Saturday (Aug. 17) with Taste of Brampton, where live music and a variety of delicious foods will be offered at Brampton City Hall – again, with free admission!

Here’s where the party is happening at this year’s Party in the Lanes:

Vivian Lane – Kids Zone
Aug. 16, 5 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Those with young children should be sure to check out the Kids Zone at Vivian Lane. It’s the ultimate play place where kids can make crafts, play with giant Lego pieces, get their face painted, grab some balloons and temporary tattoos, and so much more. Kids can also get a picture with some of their favourite furry friends from popular TV shows and franchises.

George Street Parking Lot – Salsa Party
Aug. 16, 6 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Move your body and enjoy vibrant culture with Salsa in the Square hosted by The Salsa Club. Residents can dance into the night while enjoying Latin music, dance lessons, live performances, and more.

Garden Square – Stomp N’ Stampede
Aug. 16, 7 p.m.

Stomp N’ Stampede returns to Garden Square as a major celebration of all things country. Enjoy live music from DJ Johnny Rivex, headliner Kalsey Kulyk and opener Aaron Allen, and even get line-dancing lessons from Double Trouble.

Brampton City Hall – Taste of Brampton
Aug. 17, 1 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Experience the best of Brampton with a festival that combines food with fun and live music. The annual culinary event is even better this year with a stunning lineup of performers taking the stage:

  • Alex Whorms
  • Breaking Still
  • Carina Bianchini
  • Daniel Monte
  • Loren Aronov
  • Madison Galloway
  • Rocket and the Renegades
  • Valentyn Zadoianov

Party in the Lanes is organized by the Downtown Brampton BIA, which regularly hosts special events throughout the year to highlight the city’s best downtown shops, restaurants and community spaces.
