Calling all rib-lovers: there is a major event returning to Brampton this month you’ll want to mark your calendar for.

Rib’n’Roll is Brampton’s first major food event of the summer, hosted by The Rotary Club.

The event will run on Friday May 25 from 5-11 p.m., Saturday May 26 from 12-11 p.m., and Sunday May 27 from 12-7 p.m. at Gage Park in downtown Brampton.

In the past, this event has seen more than 20,000 attendees over three days, so you know it’s going to be big.

There is a lot of entertainment scheduled throughout the weekend, including a reptile show, a presentation of Beauty and the Beast, and live music.

There will also be fun, family-friendly activities all weekend long, including face painting, bouncy castles, and photo booth.

Even the Brampton Beast Mascot is coming.

Of course, the main reason to go to the event is for the ribs. Ribbers from across Brampton will be stationed around the park, serving their best meat.

Who’s bringing the ribs?

This year’s ribbers include Jake’s Boathouse, J. Red & Co., Louisiana Seafood and Steakhouse, and even Sul Irmaos Smokehouse.

You can expect a wide selection of ribs and sauces to chow down on. You can also expect such treats as candy apples, burgers and sandwiches.

This year, admission to the event is by voluntary donation.

These donations will go to four different organizations to help youth from Brampton: the William Osler Health System, the ErinoakKids Centre for Treatment and Development, the Tour for Kids Cycling Adventure and The Rotary Club of Brampton’s youth programs.
