Two people have already been arrested but police are still searching for a man wanted in a violent home invasion who could be hiding out in the Greater Toronto Area.
The robbery happened on Oct. 18 around 9:45 p.m. at a home on Church Lane in Hastings, a village approximately 35 kilometres east of Peterborough according to the OPP.
Police say three males entered the residence before assaulting and threatening a victim inside the home. A cellphone was stolen and a firearm is believed to have been used in the hold-up.
The suspects then fled in a dark-coloured SUV before officers arrived at the scene.
Days later, police arrested one suspect in connection with the incident. The details of that arrest have not been made public.
But then on Monday, a 26-year-old woman from Trent Hills was arrested and charged multiple offences including robbery with a firearm, assault with a weapon, and breach of recognizance.
Now police say a third suspect is still at large and wanted for assault with a weapon and robbery using a firearm.
The OPP has issued a warrant for Dustin Wesenberg, 30, from the Township of Alnwick-Haldiman.
Police say he is known to travel between the GTA and Montreal, and are asking anyone with information about the robbery to contact investigators.
Wesenberg is described as a white male standing around 6’2″ tall and weighing approximately 185 lbs with brown hair and hazel eyes.
