Police are on the hunt for a man accused of stealing high-end vehicles during test drives who could be on the run in Mississauga, Brampton or Caledon.

Peel Regional Police have issued a warrant for 39-year-old Calvin Peacock.

Peacock is known to arrange test drives for high-end vehicles listed for sale online before stealing the vehicle, police say, and has “driven stolen vehicles in an aggressive manner towards victims showing no concern for public safety.”

Investigators say Peacock was caught on camera during a car theft in Caledon on May 15. He is of no fixed address and is known to operate in the Region of Peel and in other jurisdictions throughout the province.

Police were not immediately available for comment, but an individual with the same name was previously charged back in January when a 2018 Range Rover stolen from Oakville was found by offices in Mississauga after stealing the vehicle during a test drive.

Peel police are asking anyone who may have information about Peacock’s whereabouts to contact investigators but warn that he should not be approached.

A second, unidentified suspect who police say is also involved in some of the thefts is also wanted. The unknown man has a medium complexion and stands approximately 5’8” with a thin build, short black hair, a full beard and glasses.

Anyone who may have information pertaining to this matter is asked to call Peel Regional Police at (905) 453–2121, ext.2133. Tips can also be left anonymously by calling Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or by visiting www.peelcrimestoppers.ca.
