A man wanted in connection with the killings of two women in Toronto might be in Mississauga, police say.

Peel Regional Police said in a post on X that 33-year-old Joseph Ayala may be in the Dixie and Lakeshore roads area.

Ayala is wanted for two counts of second-degree murder after an 82-year-old woman and a 60-year-old woman were found dead at a home in Etobicoke last week.

The Toronto Police Service said that at around 1 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 23, officers responded to a wellbeing check in the Sheldon and  Silvercrest avenues area, which is near Browns Line and Evans Avenue.

There, they found the two victims.

Toronto police initially said Ayal is known to wear a cowboy hat, black cowboy boots and a jacket with tassels on the sleeve.

He is five-foot-eleven and has a shaved head.

Peel police said officers are in the area of Dixie and Lakeshore roads and asked that if anyone sees Ayala, they contact police immediately.
