Man taken to trauma centre after stabbing in Brampton

Officers are on scene for a stabbing in Brampton this afternoon (Jan. 15).

Police were called at 1:09 p.m. for an adult male who was stabbed in the area of Laurelcrest and Queen St East.

The victim is being transported to a trauma centre with serious injuries.

The suspect is described as a black male with a thin build, 5’7″, wearing a black jacket, grey track pants, and white shoes.

Police and police K9 units remain in the area for the investigation.


UPDATE: The suspect has been found and taken into custody, police confirmed shortly after 3:00 p.m.

The victim in this incident remains in life-threatening condition at this time.
