Police are searching for the suspect in a stabbing at a Brampton Transit stop after a verbal argument turned violent in Brampton.

Peel Regional Police say the stabbing happened on Oct. 26 around 4 p.m. in the area of Main Street and Steeles Avenue in the city of Brampton.

Investigators say two men got into an argument that got heated and a 32-year-old male was stabbed by the suspect “several times.”

A spokesperson with Peel Regional Police confirmed to INsauga.com that the stabbing happened at a Brampton Transit bus stop but could not specify which one.

The victim was rushed to hospital where police say he is in non-life threatening condition.

Police have released an image of the suspect and are asking anyone with information on the stabbing or the suspect to contact investigators.

The suspect is described as a Black male with a medium build. He was wearing a black toque, a black and grey jacket, a black hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and beige boots at the time of the incident.

He was also carrying a dark backpack, Police said.
