Update: Man rushed to hospital following shooting in Brampton

Peel Regional Police put out a tweet at 6:47 p.m. this evening (Sept. 13), stating that the victim was relocated to a trauma center with serious injuries.
Police are investigating after a man was injured in a daylight shooting in Brampton.
Peel Regional Police say officers were called to the area of McLaughlin Road and Marycroft Court in Brampton shortly before 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
Police say one person had been shot, and a spokesperson for Peel Paramedics confirmed that an adult male was transported to a hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Police have not released any information about a possible suspect.
Traffic in the area may be impacted while police are on scene and drivers should find alternate routes or avoid the area if possible.
