Man missing from Mississauga.

Police and the family of a man who went missing three weeks ago in Mississauga are asking for the public’s help in finding him.

Peel Regional Police say the 36-year-old man, a Peel resident whose given name is Lukasz, was last seen on Oct. 24 at the Hazel McCallion Central Library, at 301 Burnhamthorpe Rd. W. near city hall.

Investigators and the man’s family are concerned for his well-being, police said in a news release on Friday.

Lukasz is described as white, 5-foot-6, 150 pounds with a thin build, blue eyes and blonde straight hair. He was last seen wearing a tan jacket, blue pants, blue running shoes and had a red-and-white gym bag with him.

Anyone with information about Lukasz or his whereabouts is asked to call investigators with the 11 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau at 905-453–2121, ext. 1133, or Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Under a policy adopted in 2023 regarding missing persons and what information will be released via social media or to the media, Peel police only release the given names of missing people when the news release is accompanied by a photo.

Surnames will only be provided if “there is an investigative value to do so,” police said.

Toronto Police and other police forces have adopted the same policy.
