Man killed in a shooting in Niagara Region

Family and police concerned as vulnerable 71-year-old woman goes missing in St. Catharines

A man has died in a shooting in Niagara Region.

Emergency crews rushed to the area of Concord Place and Windward Drive in Grimsby following the report of a shooting around 5:30 p.m. yesterday (Nov. 27), Niagara Regional Police said in a press release.

Police arrived to find a man suffering from life-threatening injuries.

Officers provided medical attention before the man was transported to an out-of-region hospital by Niagara Emergency Medical Services.

Sadly, the man was pronounced dead in hospital.

Police said there is no information to suggest that there is a continued risk to public safety.

The homicide unit is continuing to investigate.
