Man in serious condition following a house fire at construction site in Brampton

One man has been rushed to hospital following an early morning house fire in Brampton.
The blaze happened around 3:40 a.m. on Friday on Sapwood Crescent in a new community just south of Mayfield Road.
Brampton Fire and Emergency Services (BFES) say the home was fully involved when firefighters arrived on the scene. A photo shared by BFES shows a cloud of smoke surrounding the home, which firefighters say was a new build.
A spokesperson for Peel Paramedics Services confirmed that one adult male was transported from the scene to a local hospital in serious condition.
Peel Regional Police confirmed officers are aware of the blaze but were not able to immediately comment on the fire.
