Man fighting for life after scooter hit by transport truck in Brampton

An adult male has been taken to hospital with life-threatening conditions after a collision between a scooter and a transport truck at a Brampton intersection early Friday evening.
The incident occurred just before 6:33 p.m. at the intersection of Dixie Road and Queen Street.
The male rider of the scooter was immediately transported to a nearby trauma centre.
The driver of the transport truck remained on the scene, said Peel Regional Police.
The intersection is currently closed in all directions.
Peel police are asking commuters driving through the area of the collision to use an alternate route while emergency crews clear up the intersection.
