Man dies in hospital after being struck and allegedly trapped by a transport truck in Caledon

A man has died in hospital after being struck by a transport truck in Caledon.
On Saturday (Nov. 25) at around 7 a.m., police say they responded to the scene of a serious collision on Tim Manley Drive, where a pedestrian was hit by a large vehicle.
It is alleged that the man was trapped beneath the transport truck before paramedics rushed him to a Toronto- area trauma centre, with life-threatening injuries.
Investigators closed off Tim Manley Drive between Chinguacousy Road and Neil Promenade for several hours.
Drivers were asked to take alternate routes.
Police later confirmed that the pedestrian —whose identity, age, or city of residence has not been made public—died of his injuries.
According to the OPP, shortly after 4:30 p.m., the roadways were reopened to motorists.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are unknown at this time.
