Man found dead in a Brampton home; police investigating

Police are investigating after a man was found dead and another injured in a Brampton home.

Emergency crews were called to the home in the Dixie Road and Howden Boulevard area around 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Peel Regional Police said.

One man was found dead in the home, a Peel Paramedics spokesperson told INsauga.com.

Paramedics treated another man with a minor, non-life-threatening injury, the spokesperson said. He was transported to hospital.

The spokesperson declined to provide the ages of the two men. There are reports the deceased man was 65 years old.

“Due to the circumstances and the nature of the call, we are directing all comments to Peel Regional Police as they continue their ongoing investigation,” the spokesperson said.

Police said they are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

As of 7 a.m., police were holding the scene and a spokesperson said more information may be coming later on Thursday.
