Man dead from gunshot wounds in Brampton park

One man is dead after being found with gunshot wounds in a Brampton park on Monday night (May 30).

Shortly before 10:30 p.m., Peel Regional Police said officers were called to the area of Barmalea Rd. and Bovaird Dr. in Brampton for reports of a shooting.

No victims were found at the location, but officers were called to the intersection of Heart Lake Rd. and Copperfield Rd. around 45 minutes later for reports of someone driving erratically in a residential area.

The driver reportedly continued into an area of White Spruce Park.

When police arrived on the scene they found a male victim on a trail, reportedly suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators believe the shooting was an isolated incident.

No arrests have been made and police have not released about any potential suspects.
