Man charged in 2021 is charged again after armed robberies, home invasion in Brampton

A local resident is facing charges following a series of armed robberies, an attempted carjacking, and a home invasion in Brampton.

Peel police say several of these incidents happened near Chinguacousy Road and McLaughlin Road between November 25, 2023, and March 6, 2024.

Additionally, officers investigated an attempted gunpoint carjacking and an armed robbery of a victim walking to work through a residential area, with both incidents taking place near McLaughlin Road and Steeles Avenue.

“The suspect was armed with a firearm in all instances,” said police.

The victims were struck by a gun in two of the robberies, resulting in injuries that required medical attention.

Following a police investigation, officers located and arrested the suspect in Brampton. A police search turned up property believed to be connected to the robberies, including ammunition and two imitation firearms.

Brampton man Jessiah Farrell, 21, is charged with two counts of robbery, robbery with a firearm, two counts of using an imitation firearm, three counts of wearing a disguise, and two counts of breaching probation.

He appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton for a bail hearing on Friday, March 8.

Farrell previously faced charges for an armed robbery in Brampton in February 2021.
