Man charged after multiple explosive devices found at a Niagara Falls home

One man has been charged after explosive devices were found at a Niagara Falls home.

Officers found multiple improvised explosive devices after a call for a possible suspicious device in a home on Beaver Glen Drive near Brookside Drive at 12:24 p.m. on Wednesday, Niagara Regional Police said.

The devices were varying stages of completeness, police said.

Following a search of the home on Thursday, police said they arrested and charged one man in connection with the investigation.

Taha Sleiman, 21, was charged with make, possess, care, and control of explosive device; and unlawful possession of explosives.

Sleiman is currently being held in custody pending a bail hearing on Friday at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse in St. Catharines.
