A man has been arrested in Niagara for the alleged sexual assault of a 14-year-old female victim.
A recent report released by the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) underlined that officers responded to a call on Nov. 11 concerning a sexual assault complaint.
Throughout the investigation, it was established that on Nov. 10 — at approximately 4 p.m. — a 14-year-old female in the food court area of Pen Centre in St. Catharines was allegedly sexually assaulted by a male suspect.
The suspect — at the time unknown — then left the area.
Further research conducted by police then determined that the suspect under investigation was alleged to have been following teenage females in the same shopping centre as recently as last month.
Yesterday (Nov. 12), officers located and arrested the suspect in St. Catharines.
