A major Mississauga road was closed due to a crash Monday morning.
Two vehicles collided in the southbound lanes of Mavis Road at Twain Avenue, just south of Highway 407, around 6:45 a.m., a witness said.
One person was transported to hospital, as a precaution, with minor injuries, a Peel Regional Police spokesperson told INsauga.com.
It is not known yet if there are injuries.
There was heavy damage to one car and the other vehicle mounted the median.
The road closure caused heavy backup on Mavis Road.
There was no word on charges or the cause of the crash.
The investigation continues and anyone with information should contact police at 905-453-2121, extension 1100.
