A new revitalized retirement residence is in the cards for Brampton, as developers at Lev Senior Living want to renovate their senior living space at 30 Peel Centre Drive in the Bramalea area.
According to representatives at Lev, the current residence bolsters roughly 151 living units, all purpose-built to accommodate living standards for new retirees.
However, these new revitalization plans aim to overhaul the current space with brand-new amenities while doubling its residential capacity. These latest additions will take the form of two new towers that will be added to the current wings of the retirement complex — built in active anticipation of a large majority of Ontarians reaching retirement age.
This newly revamped space will include renovated apartments, independent supportive living care and assisted living/memory care services. As for current or potential residents, representatives at Lev already have a roadmap for new and upgraded accommodations.
“When the time comes, we will assist our residents in finding new homes, including options at our two nearest Lev Senior Living retirement residences, to ensure a smooth and supportive transition”, said Debbie Hemmens, President of Operations at Lev Senior Living in an official statement.
Additions to the Bramalea facility will also include dining rooms, a movie theatre, a fitness centre and a games room. Rooftop terraces and a garden will also be included, allowing access to outdoor space without having to stray too far from the grounds within the centre.
While plans surrounding Lev’s new additions are in their infancy, the organization guarantees updates as they move forward with the City of Brampton in their development.
