Major flight delays hitting some Asian routes from Pearson Airport in Mississauga, Ontario

Bad air quality due to fog and pollution is diverting arrivals to Hanoi, Vietnam today (Feb. 2), Pearson Airport advised on X.
Hanoi’s Noi Ba International Airport and other airports as far south as Danang are impacted by the poor visibility.
There are no direct flights from Toronto Pearson to Noi Ba, but passengers connecting to Vietnam should be aware of potential diversions and delays, the post reads.
Hanoi’s levels of hazardous small particles known as PM2.5 in the air were at an extreme high of 257 micrograms per cubic metre early on Friday, according to Air Visual, an independent online air quality index monitor.
All flights to Hanoi are delayed or diverted to other cities on Friday due to heavy fog and worsening air pollution, according to a report from Reuters.
Nearly 100 flights to and from the airport have been affected.
