A major alcohol brand has returned to shelves across Canada.

The Phillips Distilling Company said in a press release that Sour Puss is available once again from coast to coast through provincial liquor boards and authorized retailers, with confirmed listings in every province.

The return comes after the company announced last Fall that it would produce Sour Puss liqueur for the Canadian market in Canada.

The company said that as part of the shift, it would be completely ceasing all Canadian production in the United States.

“The U.S.–Canada trade dispute influenced the company’s decision to relocate production to Canada,” the company said at the time.

Amid the trade war with the United States, American-made alcohol has been removed from shelves in many provinces.

The production shift announcement generated plenty of interest.

“We were truly touched by the response from the public,” said Phillips Distilling Company sales director Rumi Jaffer.

“Sour Puss holds a special place in the local cocktail culture, and we’re thrilled to put these products back into consumers’ hands. The excitement across the country confirms just how strong the connection to the brand remains, and we’re proud to see it reclaim its place nationwide.”

All signature flavours are back, including red (raspberry), green (green apple), blue (blue tropical), and golden (passionfruit mango).

“In addition to its strong retail presence, the brand is also making its highly anticipated return to bars, restaurants, and nightlife venues nationwide,” the press release said.

Meanwhile, Sour Puss ready-to-drink “Shocktails” were also recently launched, which can be bought individually or in packs of four.

The debut raspberry lemonade flavour has a seven per cent alcohol content.

They have been rolling out since mid-March.
