Lucky number pays off in a big way for lottery winner from Mississauga

Thi Chuc Nguyen’s lucky number came through for her in a big way — to the tune of a $300,000 lottery win.
The Mississauga woman’s Instant Massive Money game ticket garnered for her a top prize on a recent trip to the store.
Nguyen, who works in retail and has been playing the lottery with OLG for about 10 years, said she purposely chose a particular ticket.
“My lucky number is three, so I decided to pick the third ticket from the display case,” she recalled while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to collect her windfall.
Nguyen said she usually plays Lotto Max and Lotto 6/49 tickets in the lottery and only occasionally picks up an instant win ticket.
“I was in the store when I discovered my numbers matched,” the lucky winner continued. “I was so surprised. I went straight home to tell my husband and he was just as shocked as I was. He helped me with the next steps in claiming my prize.”

Nguyen plans to purchase a home and help her family with the money.
The winning ticket was purchased at Golden Dollars Discount Store, on Hurontario Street in Mississauga.
