Those looking for a cheap summer trip to cottage country can now hop on a bus from Mississauga.
FlixBus just announced the launch of its new service to Sudbury with stops in Parry Sound, Port Severn and Waubaushene, according to a press release from FlixBus.
The service starts from Union Station in Toronto and stops at Pearson Airport in Mississauga before heading north.
The final stop is the Ontario Northland Terminal, located at 1663 Kingsway in Sudbury.
The service operates daily, except for Tuesdays.
According to the website, a one-way ticket to Parry Sound from Pearson Airport is $19.99 plus fees and taxes. To travel to Sudbury, a one-way ticket is $35.99 plus fees and taxes.
“We are very pleased to add Sudbury to the growing list of cities and towns in Ontario that FlixBus serves,” said Richard Szeri, senior manager of network planning for FlixBus.
With the addition of Sudbury, FlixBus now offers connections to over 20 destinations in Ontario, including major cities such as Ottawa, London, and Niagara Falls.
FlixBus buses are equipped with free Wi-Fi, power outlets and onboard entertainment.
FlixBus filled a gap after Greyhound Canada permanently suspended operations in May 2021. Greyhound continues to operate and offers service from U.S. destinations to Canada.
Canadians can book both Greyhound and FlixBus rides on the FlixBus website and mobile apps.
