Loaded gun found during traffic stop beside Toronto Pearson Airport in Mississauga

Two men face numerous weapons charges after a traffic stop near Toronto Pearson Airport in Mississauga turned up a loaded gun.
Peel Regional Police road safety officers on patrol as part of the RIDE campaign pulled a vehicle over just before 2 a.m. on Sunday in the area of Atlantic Drive and Enterprise Road, beside the airport.
During a subsequent investigation of the vehicle, a loaded gun was discovered and seized by the officers, police said in a news release on Tuesday.
Jawad Sami, 26, and Ehsan Saleh, 24, both of Toronto, are each charged with:
- unauthorized possession of a firearm
- possession of a loaded firearm
- careless storage of a firearm
- knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
- occupant of a motor vehicle knowing there was a firearm
- unauthorized possession of prohibited or restricted weapon
Both were scheduled to appear in Brampton court for bail hearings.
The police investigation continues.
