A fun and lively street food festival returns to Mississauga this month.
The annual Taste of Cooksville street festival is back on Saturday, Sept. 16 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
“Cooksville is the food capital of the GTA but you wouldn’t know it from the outside,” the organizers say. “It’s time to change this and let everyone in on the secret.”
Dundas Street from Camilla Road to Hurontario Street will be closed and there will be more than 25 food vendors, along with live musicians, DJs, buskers, family-friendly entertainment and games.
The festival features local restaurants, community groups and businesses.
Festival-goers can expect promotional tasting menus to sample many restaurants at an affordable price in one afternoon.
The festival is free but people are asked to reserve on the Eventbrite page here. For additional information see the Cooksville BIA website.
