Leaf vacuum progam begins in Brampton

The City of Brampton has launched its annual fall leaf curbside collection program.

For those who live in areas that qualify for the program, you can now rake your leaves to the curb and they will be vacuumed away by the municipal waste collection service.

Here a few rules to make the program run smoothly:

  • Only leaves can be left by the curb or in the ditch in front of your home.
  • Don’t put the leaves onto the road
  • Keep leaves away from trees, street signs, fire hydrants, electrical boxes, catch basins or other obstacles
  • Bag backyard leaves and place them at the curb in a labelled and open, rigid or reusable container or bushel basket or paper yard waste bag for collection from the Region of Peel, on your scheduled waste collection day
