Last call for Brampton-made gas-powered Dodge Chargers and Challengers

Time is running out to buy a Brampton-made muscle car as gas-powered Dodge Chargers and Challengers will be coming off the assembly line soon.
Brampton’s Stellantis assembly plant is the only one producing Chargers, Challengers, and Chrysler 300s, all of which are models set to be phased out next year.
Dodge says the 2023 models will be the last of the current generation Challengers and Chargers, and the company has introduced Last Call limited-edition models including the Challenger Shakedown, the Charger Super Bee, and Charger King Daytona.
Production of Challengers and Chargers will end in December 2023, and Dodge dealerships will have limited runs of the final models.
Earlier this year, Stellantis announced that both its Brampton and Windsor plants are getting a $3.6 billion overhaul, converting them to multi-energy vehicle assembly facilities ready to produce electric vehicles.
Stellantis is planning to revamp the plants with a flexible assembly line capable of producing battery-electric and hybrid vehicles, diversifying the automaker’s capacity to meet growing consumer demand for low-emission vehicles.
The province is committing up to $513 million to the developments along with a matching investment from the federal government.
