Laser cutters and 3D printers are now available at public libraries in Mississauga

Multiple unique Makerspaces are now open to the public throughout Mississauga.

According to a recent release by the city, several libraries  are now offering fully equipped spaces where residents can use various tools to complete personal or work-related projects

Some of the tools on hand include 3D printers, heat presses, laser and vinyl cutters, photo, video, and sound studios as well as sound booths, sewing machines and a variety of Adobe software.

City representatives have indicated that some of the assets at these Makerspaces may require a library card.

The current list of libraries hosting these areas in Mississauga are:

  • Burnhamthorpe Library
  • Courtneypark Library
  • Hazel McCallion Central Library
  • Malton Library
  • Meadowvale Library
