A large fire tore through a home in Mississauga Sunday night, spreading to a second house.
The second-alarm fire broke out at home on Nadine Crescent in Mississauga Valley Sunday (May 14) around 8:30 p.m., Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services tells insauga.com.
No injuries were reported in the fire. Fortunately, a neighbour saw the fire and banged on the resident’s door. Everyone got out safely.
Around 40 firefighters battle the blaze, which had extended to another home by around 9 p.m.
The fire damage was quite extensive in the first home. The neighbouring home sustained minor damage.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. Due to the extensive damage, the Ontario Fire Marshal has been called — it’s not known yet if they will investigate.
Fire crews were still at the scene as of 7 a.m. this morning (May 15) checking for hot spots.
