After a week of fluctuating weather with alternating sunshine and rain, the region is expected to experience a mix of both today.

For those who appreciate a beautiful morning sky, today’s sunrise will begin at 5:41 a.m.

Residents of Mississauga, Brampton, and Hamilton will wake up to a mix of sun and clouds, while in Durham and Halton, it will be mainly sunny but will gradually become cloudy.

Overnight fog patches will dissipate as the day carries on.

There is a 30 per cent chance that it will rain across all cities.

Daytime temperatures will soar to 29 C in Mississauga, Brampton, Halton and Durham while Hamilton is anticipated to be two degrees cooler at 27 C. The humidex will hit 35 and the UV will be very high at level 9.

Environment Canada advises protecting your skin when the UV index is three or higher, particularly between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m

Additionally, Health Canada says that if outdoors, individuals should seek shade, wear protective clothing and hats, apply SPF 30 or higher sunscreen, avoid tanning, use UV-protective sunglasses, and stay hydrated throughout the day.

Sunset begins at 9 p.m.

By the evening, sunshine will give way to clouds, and temperatures will drop to 16 C. Although this is cooler than daytime highs, it remains relatively warm for the night.

There is also a 30 per cent chance that rain will return, though it may clear by midnight.

The remainder of the week will bring a mix of sun, clouds, and occasional rain. Daytime temperatures will range from 25 C to 29 C, with nighttime lows dipping between 15 C and 19 C.
