Weather for Mississauga and southern Ontario July 21, 2024.

After Mississauga, the GTA and much of southern Ontario were pounded with torrential rain earlier in the week that led to widespread flooding, more rain might be on the way for those areas on Sunday.

Nothing to worry about, though, according to Environment and Climate Change Canada, which is calling for a 40 per cent chance of showers on Sunday during the day and early afternoon.

Temperatures are expected to hit a high of 27 C across the region, with a low of 18 C during nighttime, the weather agency said. A mix of sun and cloud in the morning, with a chance of rain, will continue into the afternoon and the Sunday evening hours are expected to see partly cloudy conditions.

When the humidex is factored into the daytime temperature on Sunday, it will feel like 33 C. The UV index is expected to be 7, or high.

The forecast was issued by Canada’s weather agency at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
