July 12 Weather: Mainly sunny, hot day ahead for southern Ontario

Here comes the sun in Mississauga and southern Ontario.

It will be a sunny start heading into the weekend according to the latest weather forecast by Environment Canada for Friday (July 12).

We will wake up to mainly sunny skies and that is the way it will remain throughout the day. A high of 28 degrees Celsius is expected, though it will feel like a scorcher with the humidex at 35 degrees Celsius.

You will have to make sure you have some sunscreen if you are lucky enough to get spend some of the day outdoors with a UV index of 9 or very high.

It will be a beautiful clear evening that will take us into the weekend with a comfortable low of 17 degrees Celsius expected overnight.

We will have the same 15 hours and 12 minutes of daylight time as the day before with the sun set to rise at 5:48 a.m. in the morning and then set in the evening at 9 p.m.
