One of Japan’s largest clothing retailers is expanding to Mississauga, Brampton and Toronto.

Japanese casual clothing store, UNIQLO, will open four new locations in Canada this fall, according to a press release from the company.

The store, which dates back to 1949, offers clothing basics and accessories for women, men and children. UNIQLO is a brand of Fast Retailing Co., Ltd., with global headquarters in Tokyo, Japan.

The new locations to open in the fall include Heartland Town Centre, 6075 Mavis Rd., Unit 21, Mississauga, and Bramalea City Centre, 25 Peel Centre Dr., Brampton.

There are also stores planned for CF Sherway Gardens in Etobicoke and Willowbrook Shopping Centre in Langley, B.C.

UNIQLO opened its first location in Canada in 2016 in the Eaton Centre, in Toronto.

The brand is described as “simple, high-quality, everyday clothing,” and the company says it is constantly evolving.

The Canadian expansion is part of a plan to reach 200 stores in North America by 2027.

“We have seen incredible momentum throughout Canada, and we couldn’t be more excited to open four new stores,” says Daisuke Tsukagoshi, CEO of UNIQLO North America. “UNIQLO continues to resonate with Canadian customers, and we aim to deliver essential clothing that complements their lifestyles, made to be building blocks of their wardrobe with longevity in mind.”

The company hasn’t posted the opening dates for the new stores yet.

The new stores will have job openings. See the company’s career page here for more information.
